  3.  How your products and services can deliver more and more value to customers ?

 Lean thinking classified all activities/processes into three categories 

  1. Activities/Processes which add value by improving the quality,reliability, on time delivery, capabailities and usability of the product and service. 
  2. Activities and process which do not add value but are necessary
  3. Activities which do not add value , are not necessary and create waste(mudas in japanese) 
A lean organization is always focus on imprving values added activites/processes  by a process on ongoing improvement 
A lean organization does all necessary activities in efficient manner 
A lean organization wages war again all activies/processes creating waste
